I'm glad some old dogs can learn new tricks

. The key to that spiral is partly due to the bait design, but primarily due to the fact the weight is spread out over the length of the hook shank and not all at the nose. For any of you shore fishers, if your not using it, your missing out. Not just for the slow spiral and sinking characteristics, but for the fact the rig will almost never snag. In fact in over a decade of fishing this rig, I doubt I've lost more than a dozen hooks due directly to a snag.
