Heard the Blip! sound while unloading the boat at the dock. Didn't think much of it until I went to unlock my truck.
Yep, truck keys in about 12' of water in Menemsha. Poked around with a net that had a boat hook taped on as an extension pole and did nothing but stir up the bottom.
Went back 2 days later at low tide with a peeper and a calm rake and after about a 1/2 hour of pulling up some nasty smelling goop I got them. Keys looked like they were down there for a loooong time, all stained and tarnished.
The weird thing was I hit the unlock button on the key fob and it worked!!! I took it apart and cleaned it anyway but I thought that was pretty amazing.
