Im talking about this stuff in particular.

Devcon 2 TON epoxy. Sets up in 30 minutes. Crystal Clear. You can handle it in 2 hours. completely waterproof & chemical resistant. 2500psi bond strength. It is thick and needs to be brushed on but can be spread out in a very light coat. Even a thin coat is an incredibly strong finish.

I have never heard of this method being used. But it has worked very well for me.



And anyone with a paintbrush & the epoxy can protect their wooden lure investments from rocks/bluefish/whatever. Even just casting creates chipped paint all around where the trebles hang.
