We have 24 coming over and are cooking two birds at 20-pounds each ...
... prepared them last night until 12:15 a.m. ... bed at 1 a.m. ... then got up at 4 a.m. to put one in the oven ... back up at 5 a.m. to check on it ... then back up at 6 a.m. because of little miss Sydney -- my daughter who's just under 2 yrs and up ever since preparing for the day and playing with Sydney ... yikes!
As for the turkey necks ... Julie wanted to keep them in a pot outside, covered ... I warned her against racoons ... but go figure, we come down, let the dog out, continue working and go check on the dog ... both turkey necks eaten by dog and gizzards all over the courtyard ...
Oh Well ... it felt a little like that move "A Christmas Story" when they guys turkey gets trashed ... all's well now.
