I call it Anguilla robertus ( my trake on the eel bob)
great for soft plastics and of course dead eels.
What makes this verson of the classic better is that the loop is not directly in line with the hook loop, so it will not roll- this one is 2.5 ounces and the hook is a 9/0
I will be making them in many sizes- for calm water up to cape cod canal currents.
