I'm pretty sure coyotes got my old border collie a few years back. It was horrible not knowing what happened to our dog, we never found anything.

Be sure to watch your older pets and probably even your younger ones if it's mid-winter and the coyotes are hungry. Ask any vet or animal control officer, if your dog disapears there's a very good chance it was coyotes.

I floor the gas pedal everytime I see a coyote. I know they were just doing what they do, but I'm anti-yote since then. Tough to not have the thought of a best friend's last few minutes of life being spent getting ripped apart alone in the darkness tick you off.
