... Ford played the ins. co. game well, came rated at 335 horse
.. all they did was read the dyno at a different RPM...
(actually put out well over 400 horse, and the tourqe was clost to 500 foot pounds).. the ins. company's wised up, they set the limit on cubic inches next.... Chevy played that game.. the "396".. funny.. any engine shop that could figure cubic inches, always came back with 402...
sorry.. any muscle car talk always brings out the high test fumes, burning rubber, and bleach that permiated my brain when I was in my teens...
