Yes, according to baseballreference.com, Rice was First in GDP from 82-85 and in the top ten 7 other years
. Also, although it is a small smaple size, his postseasons numbers aren't that great.

It wasn't strike-outs that was his Achilles heel--it was the %^&*()$ 6-4-3 DP.
He was a guy who consistently came up small in the clutch, for all of his stats.
Should it keep him out of Cooperstown??--probably not.
