How could anyone pass by any one of those guys though? What's their thought process?
"How about that Ripken?"... "Naw, consecutive game record, 400+ HRs, countless Allstar selections, gold gloves, stand up guy, modest guy, I don;t think he deserves MY vote this year." I can't imagine anyone not voting for these guys... If this "unwritten law" weren't in place I'd be surprised to find out that it wasn't unanimous if there 5000 voters.
