Yes Patrick, you were sorely missed also, sorry buddy!!!!, glad you got over the other day.
JohnR & GS, too bad you couldn't make it over, how was Cuttyhunk?
GS, got out on the boat on Thurday, had bass & Blues at Wollaston Bay and near the LI Bridge with some decent bass to 36 inches in the mix, also had some over by Castle Island in the AM. Was a tough day with the wind. Hopefully next week will be some more fishies coming thru. Still found quite a bit of bait around so Its not over yet. Going to start looking for cod also next week.
Jenn, HOW YOU DOIN!!!!! **** bag, how was your trip to the cape a couple of weeks ago, here the hubby is getting a slight addiction problem all of a sudden. Got some good video, you and the hubby will have to come down, if not for the striped ones maybe for some cod????
Hey Clammer, how are you feeling buddy???
Mr Sandman, Most of the time we were over there, we fished Wasque Beach. One of the reasons for this was it was the only place on the Island that wasn't so loaded with bait that you couldn't get the fish off of it. We caught an average of about 6-10 fish a day there between the group of us and all were quality albies mostly just short if not over 25 inches, but you needed one alot bigger than that this year to catch the top guys on the board.
We did all spin fishing, We caught most of the albies on a 1 1/8 oz Sting Silver, deadly #^^^^& #1 green and Baitcaster caught over 12 albies on the teaser fly I tied to match the hatch out there.
It was a strange year this year with the Albies as they didn't show alot like they normally do, so it was mostly blind casting as they were there everyday. We also caught a few at Cape Poque gut, and the Chappy side of Edgartown the last couple days we were there. Best tide no matter were you fish was incoming!!!!
