So right you are on that one....I think TV started to Chit the bed in the 70's, thats about when families started to get more than one set in the house and shows started to become "Innapropriate for Younger Viewers"

Back in its early days and into the late 60's there seemed to be a lot of shows that everyone could watch together. a program was an event for the family.

The Wizard of Oz was on once a year, Rudolf was on once a year and everyone in the house was sitting around together watching it.

Sunday nights was Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom followed by The Wonderful World of Disney and everyone in the house watched it together.

Man I miss those days....
