ecstatic

I just recovered my VS250 after 3 months of it being tossed on the bottom of the Atlantic in a very rocky locale in very swift currents and after brushing it off a little it is as smooth as it was when new (minus a little paint)...I'll have to re-build the drag and clean and service it to make sure that all is well inside, but by all appearances it should serve me well for years to come. I knew that the reel was tough and I've always loved to fish with it, but I must say that I was truly amazed by how after all that time under water and after all the abuse it saw being banged around in the rocks for three months that it was even recognizable let alone usable. When the fellow who found it called to offer it back, I thought "well O.K., I'll hang it on the wall as a memento cause it surely won't be any good for anything else". Well I'll tell you what...I'm sold! VS is the only way to go!
