Yea Slip, I was thinking about that bottom, from what I can tell from the write up it looks totally flat. The garvey has at least a bit of a vee under most of the boat and more up the bow to break some waves. Probably nice and stable, just have to put up with the slapping in a little chop like an older whaler. The bottom may help with pulling it up on the marsh and spit though.

I finished off a 14' Garvey down my basement about 5 years ago that was given half done to my buddy. He has since sold it but it was a nice little boat. I just like dory lines a bit better than Garvey lines.

I'd probably either go with a long tiller or low console the height of what a bench type would be. I think it's a bit small for the stand-up console.
