I'm llooking to build a 9' rod. I'd like one that is simiiar in action to my Loomis sur 1266, but obviously shorter. Any advice on blanks I should look at? I've looked at the rainshadow 1088, and may go w/it, but ultimately I'd like a lighter rod. Looking to throw 1-3 ounces/eels w/it.

This is definitely going to be a NIGHT rod. Nothing fancy. Black wraps, cork tape, no reel seat.
