1087 is a good chioce. Like it was said ,eels OK if you don't lay into them. I used a Allstar 1087 for plugs and bait. Threw SS darters 2 3/8oz fine. If you can't find a leftover Allstar , check out a Batson 1087. A composite blank ,slightly less backbone but doable.
