When I am surfcasting from a beach, what pound test should I be using about?? I know my Ugly Stik Tiger rod takes 12-30 lbs. test and is ML action (7 ft.)
Should I be using 17 pound test?
Also : I am currently using 20 pound line, and it always curls and tangles when I release the bail, even though I only put it on a week ago. This has happened several times, what can I do to solve it??, It's embarrasing when I try to cast and the line loops itself around my handle!!!!!
