My Mother taught me to Fish, using clamworms, clamnecks, squid, for Tautog, Flounder, and Squeteague. With the ol fashioned tarred marlin line, on the wood squares and a black tautog hook, 2oz sinkers...... I learned in Bristol, RI, and then took this experience to our winter home in DC, where I would fish for Shad, Catfish, Perch , small mouth BASS, pickeral, and giant Carp in the Potomac River. I have Fished religiously in evvery body of water I can, since.Mostly SALT.I have crossed the Atlantic, fished the whole way, have fished for TigerFish in Botsana, Africa, NZ, and Europe to Maine.....My Mother passed away in 1983, and everytime I fish, whether in my Peapod in Wickford Harbor for Bass n Blues, or trolling in the Bay, I always remember our Times together. In a few more days, My Son Will Turn 16!,( I am freaking out) he has fish in his veins, a real natural, pisces type, that has spent more hours actually catching fish than most have even tried. Fishing together and seperately, has bonded us firmly. , he has a junior lobster liscence, in Manomet, mows the lawns, likes the girls, etc.....I am proud that we have this to share, I have definetly benefitted from fishing with him and vice versa, each time is a new adventure , and many of " do you remeber when?" scenarios......fishing is a real sport, intellectual, sportmanship, ettiquette, finesse, and calculated know how, not to mention all the luck available ,lol....thank you, stephen
