I picked up a used hard cover copy of Karas' book in June for $6. It took a few months to get through the first half, which is all about the biology. The second half is a much easier read.

I have Secrets of Surf fishing at night by Muller and Striper Surf by Daignault already on the Christmas List.

Also, I have a copy of Fishermans guide to atlantic baitfish and other food sources by Caolo. It's more for fly tying folks, but it does show species, sizes and areas of many baitfish.
