Halloween is always a great night on BI. The locals have a few costume parties that can get pretty wild. I was there fishing one year and some fellow crossed the street in a wet suit at 2:00am and he had a limb missing and a huge bite mark with lots of blood oozing out. I stopped the truck and this was his costume. (looked real as heck). Rebecca is always TP'ed and usually there is a 20-30 knot breeze.

My brother still calls a 30 knot gale ....a BlockIsland 10 to15. Many nights we had difficulty opening the door of the truck this time of year while the wind howled 30+ and at the exact time the weather man was broadcasting "a slight breeze this evening at 10-15." You get out and it is a friggin sandstorm on the beach. (I hear him off in the distance as he is leaning into the gale..."10 to 15 my ass")

With the weather forecast being what it is this weekend....it sounds like a another BI 10-15++.

I think you will find them this weekend on Block. Good luck guys. For what its worth, here is where I would try in a stiff north west blow. SW point may be blow-out to fish...work the bolder fields at old harbor point and under the cliffs at black rock(2 hours befor high) and snake hole (high) and also head to sandy point in the peak of the blow (any tide) and cast east north east. (be careful don't wade out but walk to the tip) For some easy fishin, try behind ballards all along the beach to the #^&#^&#^&#^&-shoot. This old outflow is also good if it is fishable and you like jetty style.
