The size of the jig depends on how cold the water is and how fast that water is flowing. The smallest size you can get by with to get down to the fish (I'll use a 1/2 ounce). The pork strips come in a jar of "brine" liquid.. it keeps it fresh. Just put it back in the jar when you are done fishing..if you dont it will harden on the jig. I think you will find it at any bait store or even WalMart.
