Striper Talk Striped Bass Fishing, Surfcasting, Boating - View Single Post - Did anyone have any luck during this beautiful Indian summer day?

Use what you have, take what you get, that's how my morning went. Hooked up with Slip nada for striped bass, but it was early so I put in a favorite freshwater river, 5 bass to 3 lbs, 4 pickeral to 2-1/2 lbs and one very hungry crappie. All on a megabait, orange belly black back, slow retreive couple cranks, let sit on top (cold water means slow), hits were very subtle and not much of a fight even on my lighter saltwater gear. Tomorrow Schoolie Monster and I are headed to CT and I'd bet my life the story will end differently
