Coat the fish with borax, wrap in a clean cloth and keep it on or better yet, in ice. Get it to the taxidermist ASAP. If you can't get it there within 24 hours take it out of the ice and freeze it in a natural position, i.e. fully laid out. Don't bend it to make it fit in the freezer.
