I went up to Plum Island last night and fished the riverside. One fish for the efforts from 8:30 to 10:45pm and about $30 gas. Worse than the bugs was the invasion of teenage kids that like to light fires along the stretch of river I was fishing and then come down to talk and wade next to me while fishing.
Can't give up though - before I know it it will be November and I will be kicking myself if I did not make an effort to get out there and improve and at least try and catch some fish.
