A truly successful business affects everyones life for the better, for the most part. With every successful business comes downfalls/pitfalls: such as high traffic counts. If a high tech company bought the land the indians did you would still find drug dealing inside and outside the building just as you will with a casino. I HAVE BEEN ASSURED THERE ARE NO ILLEGAL DRUGS IN MIDDLEBORO NOW, SO THAT WILL BE HARD FOR TOWN OFFICIALS TO COME TO GRIPS WITH WITH.
With casinos or rather when the word casino and its associated problems is used in any media it is almost always used in conjunction with corruption, prostitution, not as a possibibilty, but a likely probababilty. There will be hundreds of businesses whose level of success and affluence will improve over the short term and long term. Just as if a high tech company was being built in the same spot. It will be up to the town and state officals to enforce the laws in a fair and equal anner right from the start. Then again you will always have the lenient judges that wont do anything to those criminals, but that is another story.
