Yup, that's one of my Brazilian Rosewood needles.

I only build using this wood for special occasions like charity auctions.

Listed as endangered, protected by the Brazilian government, import and export banned in 1992. This particular piece of wood was imported in the late '70's / early '80's by the Kramer Guitar Co. to be used to manufacture the fretboards for their guitars and their Spector brand basses.

Every rosewood lure, all 3 that I've made so far, this 2 hook, a 1 hook, and a stubby, is individual and all hand made - no duplicator work, heavy wind on bar swivels, and tied with a furnace hackle tail - with the exception of the stubby needle I made for my Dad with a mink zonker tail .

I think this is the needle we're talking about and I know that this is the end stamp from the board it was made from.
