Don't drop the charges, whatever you do. It's not balls, it's a twisted way of thinking. If he gets off the hook, it'll only encourage him. He commited at least two crimes against you, trespassing and theft. And one against the State, useing stolen plates. Sounds like he's been getting slides for quite some time, and his weak-arsed excuses have worked. Time to clothesline him.
Just from these few posts and my own personal experience this BS is becoming more and more common. We hard working, law abiding citizens are taking it in the shorts and these drunken bum petty theiveing worthless pieces of dog crap are pushing us around. For doing our jobs and living and let live. It ain't working. If we're wronged, we have to stand our ground and defend what's ours. Personally, any deliberate assault on my person or property will be met with the law in the future. No forgiveness and no woosing because I might miss some work. I won't cower behind a locked door. I'm just so friggin' sick of this crap... sorry for the rant, but I've had enough...

He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself.
