Neither spoke English, but immediately took lessons and became citizens as soon as they could. They loved this country - my Dad fought for this country and both would be real pissed at the situation we now face with language and cultural barriers. The Americans language should be English and no other language should interfere with the day to day living. Imho,seems like few want to take the trouble to become citizens learn the offical language and contribute to the country. Politicians have made it far too easy for them, looking for political gain.
