I'll take a guess at all of them.

1. What was Farnk Woolner's middle name?
I don't think he had one, at least he never used it in print that I have seen. I have a couple books signed by him and he never used a middle initial.

2. Stan Gibbs stopped fishing each season on October 1st, why?
Probably to go Hunting, a lot of guys still do this today.

3. What famous Fisherman/Plug maker/bait shop owner put a note in his lures boxes apologizing for the lack of finish detail on his plugs during WWII?
I am going to guess and say J. Sylvester but It is a guess because I know he had a tackle shop around the war in Narragansett.

4. The Cohasset Narrows Striped Bass fishing club was located in what town. Another guess...Wareham?

5. What lure company was the first to use thru wiring and metal lips on it's lures?
Hmmm, wow, these are good questions. another guess , atom?

6. The largest bass on record taken from the Cape Cod Canal, 65+ pounds, was taken on a plug. What plug was that ? Given the neighborhood I will guess GIbbs.

7. Otto Scheer, striper guide and designer/builder of the first true bassboat named the Punkinseed in the 1930's, worked out of what famous area? Montauk. His boat was lost in the 38 hurricane I think.

8. Sergei De Somov was better known to Jersey and Martha's Vineyard surfcasters as the what? The mad russian.

9. What was the first commercial plug builder to offer the Needlefish plug?
I would like to check my facts with DZ on this one but I will guess Spofford?

10. What famous commercial striped bass fisherman kept and fed a family of mice in his buggy because he was so kindhearted he could not bring himslef to displace them?
I think I read that Arnold Lane had done this but I can't recall where I saw this.

Let's see how you do!

Wow, these were good questions. I hope I passed the test.
