Joe-I met Mark out there last June, he was...chunking
. He was doing quite well as a matter of fact on chunks, I'm pretty sure he was using squid. We had a slow hit on arties on a NE wind while he hit em solid. Once the wind switched the action turned on for us.
I don't know why more people don't chunk-it is a good way to catch big fish consistently.
