Lami GSB 120 1M is the rod to go with
I have that rod and I plug with it up to 3-1/2 oz pencils and down to 1 ounce plastic swimmers if I have to.

I will be tossing some rubba with it this weekend

MikeCC made mine and did a pissa job and got it to me 2 days before out cutty trip last fall.

it does NOT toss up to 12 ounces, you may have mixed it up with the fiberglass lami sb121 3m, I have that also and it wears bass down fast in the canal when I use it.
