I can see how the chief can be considered insensitive. The little picture above shows it pretty well. I am relatively pc in general, but still wear my Indians hat. As an aside, my inlaws lived on the Navajo reservation while my mother inlaw was in the public health service. My wife was born on the res. The kids on the res. played Navajos and Indians.
