My son and I fished the mouth of Bass River at sunset and were doing constant hook ups on Blues using Salty's Slammers in Parrot. Lots of others were trying but we were the only two making constant hook ups. I'm looking for the blue that I released with the bucktail still in it's mouth that he chomped off my Salty's pencil popper. Neither of us ever had the experience of losing a plug to a angry or hungry blue and we both have been fishing for a long time. I'd suggest to those that do, try using a stronger leader or even a wire leader.
