I don't have a problem with anyone selling gear on E-bay. I do have an issue with someone buying gear retail only to resell it the next day on ebay. Particualy if the item is difficult to come by or in limited quantities. For example, The edge was selling Beachmaster cowboys this spring at reasonable retail prices...I think around 23 bucks. The quantities sold had to be limited to 2 or 3 plugs because of this buying to just re-sell practice. Now, I would have liked to purchased 6 of them but I bought my 2 and moved on. But then next day guys were reselling them on ebay fo 2-3X (or more) the retail price.

Why should Joe Sixpack have the right to profit on this when the only thing he is doing is making life difficult for all of us more serious guys who actually want to FISH the plug? IMO The retailer or plug maker should be the one selling at ebay, not Joesixpack who just wants to resell for a few quick bucks while driving up the price . In fact there is something to be said for a plug maker only selling plugs one at a time on ebay. I am not saying I support this practice but it will yield the highest cash for the person(s) most deserving.

Again, I don't have a problem with ebay or selling/buying on ebay, I do it all the time but I don't buy from a retailer trying to keep the cost down for his walk in regular clients just to resell them for a few more bucks, it is really a kick in the ass against the good natured retailer and those regulars who actually use the gear.
