For those of us that do not wade all that often, could some one shed a little light how this occurs and what you do to minimize the risks. Is it more often than not the inability to stand up once dunked? Just a thought. You might want to start a new thread so that we can just focus on the loss here. My concern is that we might assume that he was doing something wrong when that might not be at all true. Seems like almost every year someone dies doing what we do. Sobering thought... again condolences. Bad things happen to good people and bad things usually happen fast when you do what we do.
