It's a damn shame. My wifes friend did CPR on him last night when they foiund him. I already got the 'you be careful speach' this morning...
Saltheart, If thats the case, and he fell off the wall by the trailer park, it's a different story. Unless he had a heart attack or panic attack, and hyperventilated him self out, I am having a hard time figuring this one out. Like Jim and others have said, I have never felt unsafe there, EVEN in seriously big swells, even before I wore a wetsuit. You might get tossed, but properly suited up you should be able to eventually get your feet under you!
My other thought; if it was on the bar, and the other guy went for help, did he do so b/c he was unable to help him? I know PIemma and I have walked by guys at that spot and others to check on them. We even went to check on a guy who put his boat up on that bar one night, AND checked up on a pink fender ball that we thought was a fat guy floundering in the surf in Narragansett... Make sure we keep on an eye on eachother out there!
