I recently bought a box full of Makatis plugs (may be about 3 dz?) after getting tired of refinishing Gibbs. Some plugs came with dull finish so I sent them back and came back with good finish. The only thing I did was I put some more epoxy on the eyes and cover the lead weight. The prices are so good that If I loose some to toothsy friends I will be still better off than loosing Good Old Gibbs.
