I agree about cutting a one piece down. Maybe it had an "accident". My 2 pc 1165 was the first rod I built. (I had a Barracuda and it didn't fit inside)
After that got a Wagoneer added a roof rack and just built one piece rods. I added 15" of aluminum pipe to the tip end of the Lami and built a nice Blackfish rod for inshore. Is the butt and blank connected? or there a locking ferrel???
