Actually, the SuperStrike stubby needlefish can be pretty stinkin' good, even in plastic (they used to be wooden). I've used the black and the yellow before with success but I'll usually use the Gibbs. But the superstrikes are less $$ ...
Also consider changing the rear trebble to a single hook bucktail...
