Yep, I agree on the Sealine X, too. I just bought my dad one for Xmas; for like $55, it was a very nice rod.
You should definately go down and talk to Mike; I'm sure he'll have like 5-6 suggestions for under $150, plus he'll give you advice on what reel to pair with what rod.
