They are making them for the 75% of the population who don't know how to rig them, don't want to know how, and don't want to be bothered. These folks, how do I say this without offending anyone(?), are not fishing finatics, but fish on vacation, a day here and a day there. They read the magazines and are intrigued by some of the techniques - large rigged sluggo's - but aren't "into it" that much to really work on it and learn how to do it. The easy way out is to buy a rigged one, hence sluggo is making them. (Case in point - all the Berkley, Tsunami, Calcutta, Storm, etc rubber with the hooks in them).

That being said, the cost for them is high, so the retail is high - I bought some for the shop, but not alot, I think they should've rigged up some of the smaller sluggo's first - less expensive.

So are you saying that because I use a prerigged shad body that I'm not "into it?" That's I use these and sluggos that I rigged and consider myself "into it!"
