Thumbs up

Dave, many would not understand but I do. #^&#^&#^&#^& and Bum Perry's Dad Leo was very influential to the development and opening up of surfcasting on Cape Cod immediatly after WWII. He was one of Woolner's closest confidants and a member of the Worcster gang that were among the first to sieze the opportunities for the Striper fishing that the cape had to offer.

Leo Perry was the direct influence to Bobn Pond's famous Atom reverse as was noted by Woolner in print in both his books on Saltwater gamefishing and specifically his collaboration with Hal Lyman on thier historic work "The Complete Book of Striped Bass Fishing" in 54'.

I, through your intervention, have been given access to the Perry brothers and thier memories of the golden age of bass fishing the beaches of Cape Cod before the National Seashore, when it was wild and free and thier tales of Wwoolner, Laine, Murat, Kissels, Kukonen and have been shown the treasures they hold in the collection of lures and gear from those men and those times.

There are few links left walking this earth to those times and those two men, #^&#^&#^&#^& and Bum Perry are a few of the last. It was my extreme good fortune to have been introduced to them and be let into thier homes to handle and listen to the history of our sport.

Why even try.........
