Well I'm going to go with whatever works. If I'm not hitting bass on flies, I'll switch over to Fin-S. I very rarely say to myself, "Well the main food around here are bunkers, so I'm going with a lure with a wide profile." I go with gut feelings.
The fly I think is going to kill them this year is the long green one in the pic below. It's supposed to be a baby mackeral but it's a dead ringer for a sandeel.
Oh yeah, I lost the epoxy silverside at the bottom in the infamous first trip snap off.
