I agree with Saltheart. There was no choice for a "Marine" program in any of my high schools and no chance to do what you did. But if I had that kind of background with the desires for the bays and oceans I have, I'd try to find something along those lines. You live very near the shore with much marine infrastructure - get a job there as you will learn much that can translate into your fishing and your character - give it a shot. Spring is coming as well as your best chance to find a job. Who knows, in a couple years you could be a mate on a charter and a few after that, your own boat and business - not a bad thing, is it??
