I agree that the smaller fish show up most years within a few days regardless of the water temps. I believe that it has more to do with the suns position in the sky and the length of the day. The water temps seem to have more effect on the big fish's arrival in certain spots on the Cape, but they are also usually pretty consistent within a week or two.
