, as for local clubs, there is the Plum Island Surfcasters and Marblehead Surfcasters in your local area. The Mass Striped Bass Association - the largest in the state and of which many here are members - meets in Braintree, Ma. Tomorrow night is a meeting too. There are probably a few different clubs right in Glouscter/Rockport.
Some clubs have booths at the Worscter show in early Feb too.
Those are probably the best local starts. Like Saltheart said, other ideas would be to catch some of our events. And definitely hit the MSBA show in Plymouth this March. About as big a find of saltwater fishing stuff in the Northeast plus plenty of seminars to stoke the coals for a new season.
