I think most of the world record (or perhaps flyrod record) white perch came from Nantucket 10-15 years ago after the similar white perch fishing in my area (Falmouth) had disappeared. I believe most came out of a pond near Sankaty (

If I was over there in April I'd certainly consider taking waders and giving it a try. The tackle stores could probably steer you better than I.
