Goose,
Sorry if it seemed like a personal attack, I think & hope you know it wasn't meant that way. It just seemed like a good opportunity to share in
why some of us keep the fish that we do. I'd like to think there are others like me, who do not keep fish solely for monetary value nor Internet value, but infact to satisfy others.
If I don't have a pre-home for the fish that are caught that night, and my own cavity is full, they go back. It's not about raping the stock or show-boating nor anything else for that matter, it's about filling someone's eyes with joy and quenching my own thirst for doing things that a LOT of people lack these days, giving without wanting to receive. I don't have much to offer, and to the right person....a freshly caught fish is "price-less".
My father didn't teach me how to fish primarily for enjoyments' sake, when we caught fish, it meant there was less money spent at the market, life was different back then coming from a different country with NOTHING but pride in oneself. Luckily, I don't have to fish for that reason, but I'll never forget those times and that there are always people out there like that, who could use any additional help as we did growing up.
I KNOW you know where I'm coming from - Gee-force slapper ...

........
