Don't follow the directions. Gob it on and rub it in really good. Then keep doing it. It's got wood fiber in it and it draws the oil out. I leave it on and not wash it off. It removed ALL poison ivy from my nephew literally overnight a few years ago.
If cvs don't have it then Home Depot does in the plant department. Usually around the indoor fertilizers I think.
