spring is here. I posted that spring is not here till I get it. Just a matter of time for me as I like to be in the yard and have some nice crops of it in the area. Been lucky so far. Wear gloves. You can get it from the root if it hasn't emerged yet. That is the way i usually get it. Sucks. I have to say i disagree with Raven and say you can't spread the problem. It is not contagious. The fluid from the blisters will not spread to other areas or other people. Only way to spread is if you touch the Urushiol chemical in the poison ivy plant, whether being on your hand , pet, clothing if not washed off. Much worse to have it during hot humid weather.
