I don't have any rats on my property that I know of but skunk season is beginning and I trap plenty of little ones and they come with their own "smelly jelly", also possums, mice , stray cats and bunnies.. but I like them...soooo, I'll keep the bunnies but the rest are fair game, what size hook do you reckon?
